A course reader with many of the assigned articles is available at Copy
Central.
Recommended:
SPSS 10.0 for Windows, Student Version 
(Prentice-Hall, 2000).  (Do not purchase before obtaining additional
information at the first class.  A shared version of SPSS is available on
the SIMS network.) 
Other useful software:
(Both are available in the lab; you may want to
acquire your own copies, but this is completely optional.)
